They are visiting from Amsterdam in order to put together and open their art show in Hanne Tierney's Art Gallery. We're going to go to the opening on the 19th I think! Hanne Tierney is a pretty famous puppet maker around here :).
We're staying in this building with three sets of "apartments" (basically just a bedroom and living room) and a shared kitchen. We had been staying in the largest room (which is not the one we rented) because the owners hadn't had time to clean the one we rented because we booked last minute. We came home last night to find our new friends very sad because their room only had bunk beds and a really uncomfortable couch thing that isn't even a sofa bed and they were under the impression that there would be three actual beds. So we told them they could stay in our room and we moved to the actual one we were supposed to be in (which got cleaned, hooray!) and now they're our friends.
They are named Jennifer, Helmut and Roel. We're so happy to have our first new friends! And judging by what we have seen of their art, they are going to put on a beautiful display. I really can't wait to see it in person. The show is based around landscapes.
Today we did 6.5 hours of SOLID WALKING. i told my ap about it and my ap told me that means i burnt about 930 calories. sheesh! We applied at lots of jobs and it was beautiful and cold and we got to go to chelsea, which is one of my favorite places to be!
today was a wonderful day!
