He did it :)

On Tuesday, Casey, Milton and I got up bright and early and hopped in the car headed towards sunnyside. We took the car because there is no direct subway line from where we are in Brooklyn (Flatbush) to Queens/Sunnyside. It took about an hour to get there... Good thing we left with plenty of time! Casey and Milton went in for their interview while I kept warm in the car. Casey and Milton had a great interview and even got to go on a little tour of the workshop, seeing the puppets being constructed by famous puppeteers! They had a great time. Casey got an email yesterday lettin him know that they would love for him to do the intership! Casey will be interning at the Jim Henson company! This is the whole reason we came out here. My sweet guy completely deserves this and they are so lucky to get a hard working an dedicated artist like him! I never doubted his chances of getting the internship but it is still so exciting and were so happy to have confirmation that this move was the right choice. :) Congratulations mister!!

Tomorrow we get to move out of this creepy apartment! The stories are too convoluted to type all out but basically it is nothing like what we were promised, the bed would be more comfortable if it was made of concrete, it's freezing, the floor is really creaky and we could hear people creeping around when we were supposed to be here alone, a ton of random people live in the basement and we weren't told that they would be there, etc. Our bought and paid for apt wasn't ready for the first two days because "they hasn't had time to clean it" but the people living in the basement and creaking around at night ARE the house cleaners! Everything is falling apart and hodgepodged together. Because of the disorganization with the cleaning and room changed we know the pass code to all of the rooms! And something tells me they don't change the codes very frequently, so any past guest could come traipsing in. Luckily I trust Casey and I with everyone else's combos but it sure doesn't make us feel safe knowing how freely they are given out! It's just a mess. We can't wait to get out of it and into a comfy little studio in Washington Heights. That's where we will be for the next 22 days! Then we move again to the upper east side!
